Background
We were asked to conduct an investigation of a private residence in Cuchillo, NM. This house is currently unoccupied and is located about 100 yards east of the Cuchillo Bar. The home was built in the late 1800's and was occupied by a women who died in the home. Josh Bond, the owner, lived in the house for a year and only slept in the front room. He reported hearing the kitchen cabinet doors opening and other sounds from the kitchen during his time living in the home.

Based on this information, we focused our investigation in the kitchen area. Upon examination of the kitchen cabinets, we noticed that the doors have small latches on them and when closing, the doors "snap" closed. This would preclude the doors opening by themselves since it takes an effort to open them.


Investigation
Von and Kip began the investigation while Mike and I were investigating the bar. Kip said he saw a dark shadow move from the living room back towards the rear bedroom. This shadow appeared to be about 3 feet high. Von did not see this and several video cameras used during the investigation, weren't covering this area at the time.

The house had electricity and a baseline EMF sweep was conducted to identify electrical sources. Overall EMF readings were nominal at .02-.03 milliguass. The average inside temperature was 89 degrees.

Von and Kip initially conducted an EVP session in the kitchen. During this time...a series of questions were asked and unfortunately, no EVPs were recorded only a few knocks. There were a total of three digital recorders placed throughout the house and none of these recorded any anomalous sounds or EVPs except for the kitchen knocks.

Kip and Von met with Mike and I in order to switch locations, with Mike and I taking over the house while Kip and Von proceeded to the bar. During our EVP sessions...no EVPs were recorded. We conducted another EMF and thermal sweep and all reading were unchanged.


Audio Analysis
During separate EVP sessions using two different teams and multiple recorders...we were able to record several knocks to questions. No voices were recorded.

Photo Analysis
Mike was able to photograph an unexplained red ball and a dark shadow on a digital camera. This is the only photo taken that shows this. We have no explanation and is presented only out of interest.


Video Analysis
A static nightvision camera setup in the kitchen, recorded a lot of floating dust particles and if there were any light anomalies, these would have to be dismissed as dust or other suspended particulates.


Investigation Conclusion
We were able to capture a few knocks but nothing more. No anomalous EMF, temperature or video data were recorded. The kitchen was the only area to capture any EVPs but these are marginal at best. We were unable to validate the claims regarding the kitchen cabinets.
